Room 301; Late Sunday Afternoon [05/02].
May. 2nd, 2021 07:00 amWayne was never really one fer too much dilly-dallying.
(Well, with perhaps some exceptions for certain conversations he should be having before leaving, but he was clearly saving the harder stuff for later.)
And now that he was graduated, it just made the most sense to head on back home with Katy at the end of the day. He supposed he could have put it off a couple more days, get in one more Monday Morning Breakfast, take his time with the whole thing, but that was the thing about farming. A week's delay could make a world of a difference, and getting back now would be prime time to get everything prepped for planting. If he waited a week, there was a good chance he could have missed a good window for it, and, well, you miss a window like that, it would throw your whole year off, realleh. So he figgured the sooner he got back to chorin', back to the farm, the better.
He didn't really have too much to pack up, either, so he knew that wouldn't take too long...
Wayne was never really one fer too much dilly-dallying. But if packin' 'er up and making sure he didn't accidentally leave something behind took him a little longer than in ought to, then, wel....
[[ and this, alas, shall be my final Wayne post, as I'll be sending him off back to the farm and into the sunset, door and post are very much open, though likely with some SP ]]
